MISTRAL FAN MSF1648: FANS SLOWING DOWN OR NOT TURNING

common issue with the fan rotating slow or difficult to rotate was due to the dust build up inside fan of grease started drying. Or sometimes due to the broken or damage capacitor. 2-3 year sold fan usually have this kind of problem due to the capacitor reaching its end of life. Figure 1: Mistral MSF1649 Stand Fan Troubleshoot: In the Mistral MSF1648 fan case, after several check, it is found that capacitor is damaged (not able to hold enough charge)..Thus lead to slowing down in rotation. Figure 2: After remove back cover, observe the motor and component. Why Capacitor Problem?: Usually, after some period of time, capacitor of the fan might not able to store enough electrical charge anymore in order to fan to rotate at optimum level. So, it is good practice to always have spare capacitor at your home just in case your to replace the capacitor of your fan. I realised that two of my water kettle with new base design having the similar problem, which are its live metal connector, that supply power to the kettle, changing its colour and corroded due to high current flow.  Due to high current flow, live cable seem to be overheat causing some plastic around it melt. Figure 1: first kettle (morphy richard 43904) having issue with its base connector Figure 2: Second kettle from Faber FCK135, also have the issue with its base connector. Figure 3: unscrew the bottow base to access the internal part of base. and most of the time, causing the plastic around the cable melting and ending up open circuit to the kettle which lead to unworking kettle. Figure 4: It was found that life connector and plastic holder around it have been damaged due to overheat. What I did is disassemble the kettle base..and fin...
