PROBLEM WITH WATER KETTLE NOT WORKING: SOLVED

Hi, my wife complaint lately about our water kettle not working. this is second kettle having the same problem...

 I realised that two of my water kettle with new base design having the similar problem, which are its live metal connector, that supply power to the kettle, changing its colour and corroded due to high current flow. 

 Due to high current flow, live cable seem to be overheat causing some plastic around it melt.

 and most of the time, causing the plastic around the cable melting and ending up open circuit to the kettle which lead to unworking kettle.
Figure 4: It was found that life connector and plastic holder around it have been damaged due to overheat.

 What I did is disassemble the kettle base..and find the source of problem. if possible, replace the damaged part or if finding the replacement part not possible (as in my case), you can still fix it by DIY it yourself as long as you know what to do.

 In my case, for my Faber kettle, I bend its metal connector to make the live connector properly touch again with main kettle live connector and its solved the problem for me.

      Thanks for sharing the experiences. I used a Toshiba kettle then changed to Tefal 1.7 litre.After more then a year they dont work.

      Then the Tefal unit I bent the contact plates inside the Base unit then it works.

      I would advice that after the water has boiled remove the kettle and do NOT leave the hot kettle resting on the Base unit may damage the copper contacts faster and they got bent.
      So dont leave the hot kettle on the Base Unit after the water has boiled.

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera Isu TPS ni berlaku pada tahun lepas, Ogos 2020 (milage dalam 24000km, baru dua tahun pakai) sewaktu saya on the way ke KL Masa tu tunggang motor full throttle yang menyebabkan RPM nya selalu mencecah ke CUT-OFF (utk makluman, honda RS150 saya ni tak guna ECU custom, masih guna yang standard). APA TU TPS? TPS bermaksud Throttle positioning sensor..bahasa mudahnya alat ni bertujuan untuk mengesan kedudukan throttle body valve dimana udara masuk ke enjin untuk pembakaran. Dengan itu, baru la ECU tahu berapa banyak bahan bakar yang perlu utk pembakaran berdasarkan bukaan valve tu.  Bila TPS dah problem, TPS akan memberi maklumat yang salah pada ECU berkenaan besar mana valve tu buka, jadi nisbah bahan api dan udara jadi tak betul la. maka, tu yang ja...

HONDA RS150 IACV: IACV PROBLEM? RPM NAIK TINGGI BILA HIDUPKAN ENJIN?

 Hi semua, Salam sejahtera Masalah IACV saya berlaku selepas isu TPS wujud di milage 24000+km..kemungkinan kedua2nya ini saling berkait. Masalah IACV hadir ketika saya on the way balik semula ke Johor, ketika bahan bakar berkurang dari tangki moto. SIMPTOM  ? bila hidupkan enjin honda RS150 saya, RPM akan naik tinggi dan kadang2 sukar dikawal. tengah jalan pun, jika stop di trafik light, rpm akan naik tinggi dan mengaum bising..so, isu ni biasanya disebabkan IACV IACV APA TU IACV? IACV bermaksud Idle Air Control Valve. bahasa mudahnya nak control udara masuk ke ruang pembakaran sewaktu motosikal kita idle (tanpa pulas pendikit atau throttle) iaitu semasa tak bergerak. FUngsi dia mcm choke la pada motor lama yg guna karburator supaya moto mudah di hidupkan dan dalam masa sama injap dikawal dan dikecilkan bila enjin motosikal telah panas. AXIA E: UNTUK PASANG RADIO DAN SPEAKER, APA YANG DAH ADA DAN YANG PERLU KITA BELI?

 Salam semua,  baru purchased Kereta Axia E, kereta manual dan sangat basic, tetapi selesa dan jimat minyak untuk jalan dekat-dekat. KENAPA NAK PASANG RADIO PULAK? ok, kali ni nak tulis pasal pemasangan radio dan speaker pada axia E..axia E ni basic dan tiada radio player serta speaker.
