The daily commute from home to the workplace for the past 10 months using this bike, brought some of the common problems that require fixing. Below shows four problems that happen my Honda RS150 after 22000+km milage. This sharing might helps you make the decision on the purchase or preparation on what problem will appear on this bike as the mileage increase with the time. 1) Chain problem , always loose (happen too often due to the type of chain probably) and I have to adjust the chain tension every 300 - 500 km. Hi all Problem with chain adjuster? The chain keeps loose its tension and requires frequent tension adjustment? It is with my Honda RS150. At every 200km to 400km, I have to tighten my motorcycle chain. that causing too much problem for me since I travel quite a distance from home to the workplace. Thread for chain adjuster got damaged just after 6000+km. Not sure why. After asking around, some people said this is a common problem with the original chain adjuster. Look at the picture below for more detail. it is quite a headache because it became my main problem every time I travel to my workplace. Solution: The solution was to replace the chain adjuster. Cost around RM25 per set. and replacement work is quite straight forward. It is easy to do work, however, you need basic tools. Hi all, Mercedes W203 brake fluid must be refreshed every 2 years or 30000km to maintained the brake system in perfect condition and safe manner.  That's what I did to my car to prevent any damage to brake hydraulic and systems. Recommended Service Interval: 2 years or 30000 to 40000 km Tools: 1) Jack 2) Spanner 3) Jack Stand 4) Fluid suction tool 5) tube and a small bottle for bleeding work Parts: 1) Mercedes brake fluid dot 4+ (part no:  A 000 989 08 07 xx ) Procedure: 1) Park the car on the level surface. secure both from and rear wheels for safety purposes. 2) Extract all brake fluid in the fluid reservoir. 3) Fill the reservoir with the new brake fluid till max level. 4) work on bleeding the brake fluid on both front wheels first. Lift the front car, adding jack-stand, and secure the wheel safely. Then bleed the brake system by pumping the brake pedal..refill the reservoir again if the fluid level is too low. ...

Hi all, I purchased my RS150 at the end of May 2019, just after 5 months of use, around 13000+km, it start developed weird/rough sound in the engine. quite frustrated at first because it's just 4+ months old. luckily, managed to find the root cause of the engine sound. you can listen to the audio file below for what kind of sound is it when a problem appears. Taking some time to diagnose and understand the problem.. in the end, the problem was caused by the engine tensioner problem. Problem: Engine tensioner located on the left side of the engine. Transmission is an important component in vehicle movement. Without the transmission, more unnecessary stress will be imposed on the vehicle engine. Why Need Transmission (Gearing) System This was because more torque is required when the vehicle at standstill,  thus require high torque gearing. While, during vehicle movement, less torque is needed, thus less torque require, On the other hand, during high-speed movement, the higher gear ratio is needed (less rpm to the engine) to reduce stress to the engine. The list below shows the most common maintenance schedule and what I did for my RS150 (already 22000+km after almost 9 months): Engine oil change, Petronas Sprinta F700: replace every 1600km Oil strainer: clean every 12000km Spark plug: replace every 12000km (can replace with a high-performance spark plug to reduce maintenance frequency) Fuel filter: replace every 18000km Coolant fluid: replace every 12000km following oil strainer clean work Below are is the maintenance schedule from the guide book.
