MODENAS CT100: AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT. WHEN?

Modenas motorcycle, especially CT100 require air (oxygen) as part of combustion system. And clean oxygen will provide smooth combustion process in the engine.  Thus, air filter are common part installed in motorcycle to filter air before entering the engine for mixture with fuel. Good air filter will make sure that the engine able perform reliably, smoothly, without the feeling of hesitation. Figure 1: Air filter for CT100 share the same part with Kriss What Happen if Air Filter is Bad? Bad air filter will usually leads to loss of power, feeling of hesitation when throttle level is increased. Bad air filter ( such as dirty filter) usually caused not enough oxygen entering the combustion chamber during the combustion process.  This will lead to incomplete process of combustion. Especially at higher rpm due to the more air capacity needed for combustion, while dirty air filter can only pass less air than required. Figure 2: Modenas CT100, air filter...

PROTON ISWARA LMST 1.3L: HOW TO CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND EO FILTER

Hi all, Since 15 year ago after own my 1st vehicle..I kept doing my vehicle service myself and usually spending the service or repair work during the weekend..I like to spend 1-2 hours time in the morning or evening to check car condition and doing the service myself if possible. Usually, in my case, I always maintained the duration for changing the engine oil (EO) within the recommended period/distance.. For example, for this proton, I used Petronas semi synthetic 10w40 engine and this type of engine oil can go up to 7500km or 1 year (though Petronas EO still good even after that 7500km )..depending on the condition of our driving..If my driving is harsh for that period..usually I will change the engine oil a bit early..say 2/3 of total recommend distance.. For my Mercedes w203, I use fully synthetic Petronas 0W40 EO which can run up to 13000km or 1 year. So, its depend on the type of EO you use and what EO manufacturer recommend Petronas 0W40 Fully Synthetic EO Down her...
