MODENAS CT100: AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT. WHEN?

Modenas motorcycle, especially CT100 require air (oxygen) as part of combustion system. And clean oxygen will provide smooth combustion process in the engine. 

Thus, air filter are common part installed in motorcycle to filter air before entering the engine for mixture with fuel. Good air filter will make sure that the engine able perform reliably, smoothly, without the feeling of hesitation.

What Happen if Air Filter is Bad?

Bad air filter will usually leads to loss of power, feeling of hesitation when throttle level is increased. Bad air filter ( such as dirty filter) usually caused not enough oxygen entering the combustion chamber during the combustion process. 

This will lead to incomplete process of combustion. Especially at higher rpm due to the more air capacity needed for combustion, while dirty air filter can only pass less air than required.

Therefore, air filter replacement are very important for CT100. Normal practice, air filter are replaced every 20000 to 30000 km distance. And the cost for air filter is quite cheap around RM3 and its share the same part with modenas kriss.

In between, can alway clean the filter every 5000-7000 km.


Tools:
1) Screw driver
2) Spanar various sizes
3) Clean tissue towel.


Parts:
1) New Air filter (cost RM3)


Working Procedure:
1) Park the motorcycle on the double stand.

2) Remove front cover.



Figure 3: Once front cover is removed, air filter box can be observed.
3) In order to replace air filter, air filter box need to be taken out from the motorcycle body. Thus, remove four screw holding air filter box.

4) Carefully replace air filter.

5) Installation is in reverse order.

    That air pollution is the main reason behind of a dirty air filter. It suffocates oneself. To have some good air quality we must have ours air conditioners check on time. Heating and Cooling Kitchener

APA TU TPS? TPS bermaksud Throttle positioning sensor..bahasa mudahnya alat ni bertujuan untuk mengesan kedudukan throttle body valve dimana udara masuk ke enjin untuk pembakaran. Dengan itu, baru la ECU tahu berapa banyak bahan bakar yang perlu utk pembakaran berdasarkan bukaan valve tu.  Bila TPS dah problem, TPS akan memberi maklumat yang salah pada ECU berkenaan besar mana valve tu buka, jadi nisbah bahan api dan udara jadi tak betul la. maka, tu yang ja...

HONDA RS150 IACV: IACV PROBLEM? RPM NAIK TINGGI BILA HIDUPKAN ENJIN?

 Hi semua, Salam sejahtera Masalah IACV saya berlaku selepas isu TPS wujud di milage 24000+km..kemungkinan kedua2nya ini saling berkait. Masalah IACV hadir ketika saya on the way balik semula ke Johor, ketika bahan bakar berkurang dari tangki moto. KENWOOD PROSPERO KM280 NOT WORKING..WHY?

Hi, Peace upon you all. This afternoon, my wife's food processor Kenwood km280 suddenly dead..she planned to prepare Dorayaki for us all, to eat in the evening.
