Hi semua,  Salam sejahtera proton iswara LMST ni dah lama sangat tak tukar fuel filter, jadi tergerak hati untuk check dan tukar. Sepanjang guna selama 4-5 tahun, tak pernah lagi tukar. Jadi dah memang masanya. Kebiasaannya, fuel filter perlu ditukar setiap 2-3 tahun sekali (atau 20000-30000 km).  APA TU FUEL FILTER? Fungsi fuel filter adalah untuk menapis kotoran dari bahan bakar sebelum bahan bakar pergi ker kebuk pembakaran. APA PERLU BUAT? Perkara pertama yang perlu dibuat..adalah membeli spare part fuel filter dahulu sebelum menukar fuel filter lama kepada fuel filter yang baru. Kos fuel filter di online retailer seperti shopee dan lazada  adalah dalam RM10-15 sahaja. new fuel filter part (sebelum installation dilakukan) ADA CARA LAIN? satu option lagi adalah dengan menghantar kereta ke workshop yang berdekatan untuk menukarkan fuel filter untuk anda. NAK BUAT SENDIRI? MACAM MANA? Jika memilih untuk menukar sendiri, kita perlu tahu lokasi dimana fuel filter itu dilet...

hi all, this is my Iswara LMST... Many times before, it causes me difficulty in starting the engine... Symptom: most of the time, when twisting the car key, there is nothing happen. just clicking sound, sometimes no sound at all. engine won't even crack... Troubleshooting upon asking many mechanic..they said, it might be because of the battery starter cable. got its own name..but not sure what it is..(if you happen to know it..let me know in the comment below)... once knew the problem. repair work can be done. Part: purchase cable part..it is cheap..like RM5 -RM10 only from the spare part store. bring your own part to show. Procedure 1) part on the level surface. 2) secure the car 3) remove the old cable from the battery (shown in the figure) 4) replace with a new cable 5) reset the car and start the engine to check. Hi, this work has been carried out 2 years ago. but, I just have time to write about it.. actually, the starter motor problem start when its took several time to crank the engine before engine able start. Figure 1: Starter motor Its became worst when it took longer for me to start the engine. And I am not able to crank the engine anymore after sometimes. Thats when I realised that my iswara LMST starter motor has gone dead.  Though, I still managed to start the car using jump start (this means that everything else is OK apart from starter motor problem) Below is how work is done.. you can save a lot by doing it yourself. Plus, will boost your confident and knowledge about your car. Symptom: 1) Took several time to crank the engine (if there is life left from starter) 2) Nothing happen when turning the key to ignition mode if battery is ok. 3) Car engine still working if jump start. so, means the starter motor has gone dead. ...

Hi, changing gearbox oil is quite an easy work for proton iswara lmst manual transmission. Figure 1: Proton Iswara LMST Usually, we need to replace gearbox oil for every 30000km, this is recommended distance.. However, in my case, I change my gearbox oil for every 2-3 engine oil change depending on how i drive the car. PARTS: 1)Gearbox oil Castrol GL4 or Penzoil grade 80w-90 (price around RM60 for 4 liter) Figure 2: Manual Transmission Gearbox oil for Iswara LMST TOOLS 1) jack 2) oil drain pan 3) rachet spanar size 24 to release oil drain nut. 4) spanar size 17 for gearbox oil filler nut. 4) adjustable spanar (if require) 5) Oil filling bottle with tube (important to fill the gearbox oil due to small space) need to prepare this before start drain the gearbox oil.
