Hi, i found that, many people having trouble trying to assemble back the kenwood km280 top cover after disassembled it.

Two main problem as shown below, please look below;
1) unable to fit the cover in place due to something stuck inside..if you push harder, then, you might broke something. the only way to fit the cover back is by removing the knob before fitting the cover. Please refer to figure below. after removing the dial knob, you need to sit the dial circuit properly on it holder, then you can fit the cover properly.
2) usually, when you diassemble the cover, some connection might not sit properly and are not in its place and sometime you dont know where that cable connector goes. figure below show common connector misplace:
