PANASONIC F-MY-143 CEILING FAN SLOW? WHY? (SOLVED)

Hi all, last month, one of my sister in-law complaint to me that she not able to control her fan speed. and fan become very slow in term of rotating speed.. So, the fan is no use as they not feel any blowing air from the fan.

First is to get the model detail:
brand: panasonic
model: f-my-143
5 blade fan

Figure 1: Outside cover of F-MY-143 panasonic fan

remove the cover to get access to the internal board. this fan different than common fan which have separate regulator circuit on the wall.

This fan come with remote control, so, all the speed control circuit and motor circuit is on the same board.

Figure below shows the common circuit inside the panasonic remote control fan
Figure 2:electrical board in panasonic fan F-MY-143

Common part that always associated with the fan slowing down is the capacitors. figure show with arrow the suspected damage parts.

one, is 0.82uF 275V capacitor, another one is 0.1 uF 275V capacitor that usuaslly smaller in dimension compared to 0.82uF cap. These two capacitor can be order on the internet.

Figure 3: Capacitor replacement part

In my case, purchased these two part and then replace my sister in-law capacitor fan with new caps thus help fix the problem. Her fan operate as new again. speed increase dramatically and these help her a lot and make her happy.

Instead of throwing it out, its better to check. of course it will take your time to troubleshoot and understand the problem. But, with this work, you can increase your knowledge and experience as well save a lot of money getting somebody fix it for you or replace with new fan.

anyway, thanks a lot, and hope this help

  12. Hi Brian, thank you very much for your advice with regards to the problem of my Panasonic ceiling fan (slow speed). I managed to change the capacitors and both my fans are working perfectly now. For those who live in PJ/Shah Alam, you can buy the capacitors in PJ from LKL Sunrise Electronic in Paramount Garden. Just google the address. Best of all, the shop can replace the capacitors for you on the stop @ RM8.00 for 2 pcs of capacitors and labour charge. Very reasonable. Richard

    1. Hey, I have the same Panasonic ceiling fan as it was having extremely slow speed and the humming noise when it's turned on. Followed the step in this blog post and replaced both the capacitors. Speed went back to normal but the noise is still there. I guess other parts on the board is causing the noise.

    2. The motor is humming you need to replace the starter coil capacitor.I have done this before as I have 3 of this Panasonic fans since 2001.
It is the 450wV or 500wV capacitor above the motor unit.Check it up.
If you keep on running for hours with the motor humming soon it may breakdown.

HONDA RS150 TPS: RPM TAK STABIL BILA NOT ON THROTTLE DAN PENYELESAIANNYA

HONDA RS150 IACV: IACV PROBLEM? RPM NAIK TINGGI BILA HIDUPKAN ENJIN?

Hi semua, Salam sejahtera Masalah IACV saya berlaku selepas isu TPS wujud di milage 24000+km..kemungkinan kedua2nya ini saling berkait. Masalah IACV hadir ketika saya on the way balik semula ke Johor, ketika bahan bakar berkurang dari tangki moto.

HONDA RS150: MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES & MOST COMMON SERVICE WORK

Hi all, this is based on the guide book supplied with your motorcycle when you purchased your motorcycle. With this guide table, hopefully, easy for all, planning their motorcycle service. for me, its really useful since I'm doing my RS150 maintenance myself. The list below shows the most common maintenance schedule and what I did for my RS150 (already 22000+km after almost 9 months): Engine oil change, Petronas Sprinta F700: replace every 1600km Oil strainer: clean every 12000km Spark plug: replace every 12000km (can replace with a high-performance spark plug to reduce maintenance frequency) Fuel filter: replace every 18000km Coolant fluid: replace every 12000km following oil strainer clean work Below are is the maintenance schedule from the guide book.
